Steering bearing or something w/ pics

Can someone tell me the part number or where to get this... its worn out. i can shake the steering wheel. it looks like a bearing or such.
its right under the dash.

looks to be the right amount of rollers in the race.. some bearings are built like that..
its cheaper to build one race that fits lots of bearings, rather than 2 different races..

if you shove it back up and in there does it work to stop the moving of the steering shaft?

that is what I would do and then does there happen to be some sort of keeper that needs to go in there as well? Or is that yellow jobby have a screw on it that keeps it up there?

i had this happen. Shoved it bakc in there and held it in with a ziptie or two on the shaft.

had the same thing happen to me when i was swapping steering columns, just shove it in, ziptie or two to keep it there and you're golden. throw some grease on it for added smoothness

Hose clamp FTW.. I was tempted to be good and actually replace that bearing once upon a time.. Then they were I think $30... 75 cent hose clamp works just fine for me...

I like the hose clamp method myself also. Plus, that bearing is a total PITA to install if you use a new one.
