couldn't find a thread of track times,(didn't look too hard) so I thought I would make one!
just took my i-mark to the track
18+PSI un-intercooled(eaton M62 supercharger)
running an .038 nitrous jet and 300 cc/min of water/meth
best time was:
reaction - .3347
60 FT - 2.3263
330 FT - 6.8132
1/8 ET - 10.6393
1/8 MPH - 64.63
1/4 ET - 16.8292
1/4 MPH - 77.86
need more air/nitrous and intercooling EGT topped out at 1600+(briefly)
gonna try and hook up a second stage of nitrous, a second stage of w/m and install my intercooler.
also toying with the idea of a smaller charger pulley to increase boost.

that puts me roughly at 85HP at the wheels according to the ballpark ET-HP calculations

I also think that we need a thread for track times
Took my Mk II for a spin 2 weeks ago.
Only a 201 m / 1/8 strip at a lokal track.
1,9 m-Tdi, T3 at 1.5 bar / 21 psi at 5000 rpm, no IC,
Homemade maxed out 10 mm IP with 5 mm governor mod.
All built with parts from the local scrapyard..
Best time:
reaction - 0.925
60 FT - 2,452
100 M - 6.8132
1/8 ET - 9.876
1/8 kmh - 117.91 / 72.7 mph

Truckin, estimating 2800lbs with driver, your HP is around 90 BHP. With any manual you want to try the MPH as that is a better indicator than ET. Flywheel HP is around 97.

the car should only weigh about 2300LBS(so 2550 with my fat butt in it), but still pretty good seeing as how the car was rated at 55HP from the factory.
that and parasitic loss from the supercharger could be in the 20-25HP range, so not too bad at all.
I just upped to a .046 jet, and ordered a 1.9" pulley, which should put me over the 100WHP mark!
I will be heading back to the track on the tenth and will have more numbers then.

I was at the track this weekend.
1.6/1.9L TD, 25PSI, 110HP shot of nitrous, intercooled in a VW truck.
This is the best time for the day for me.

MPH 75.57
1/4 15.905
MPH 93.49
I ended up winning third/runner up for the 13.99 and slower class.

just wondering, I am up to a .046, and am going to strap another stage on it. thinking a .020
my EGT are really ridiculous, and I am going to see if I can keep them in check with more gas.

Yeah, I know what you mean about EGTs. I lowered my boost to 25psi from 30psi and the EGTs are slower to reach 1400*F and thats w/NOS. I only hope that the 5 port water/meth helps to keep them in check for longer.

josh!!!! whats going on with that quarter mile? i did 16.2 on a gtech with a stock td, well it had an exhaust, closed wastegate(25-30psi), cone filter and more fuel. no intercooler and stock manifolds. hill folk was doing mid 15's with his 1.6td mk1 jetta with a stock t3 or k24 and stock manifold. are u burn the tires for a whole quarter mile? your trap speeds really good. oh yeah and that dfr turbo... i looked at the map again, i dunno what i was thinking, that turbo would work but not real well

Well, for start. I suck at drag racing, and still trying to tune the truck. Yeah I know the turbos too big at low RPM but when at higher RPM and with nitrous, the turbo is too small. Ha, go figure.

with that trap speed u should be able to do a low 15, maybe even break into the 14s on a perfect run. does the turbo really spool all that slow? i wonder if there would be a bit smaller a/r exhaust housing that would really help, it is a t3 so im sure something could be crafted together as far as that goes. your turbo is a .48 and stock vw is .36, .30 for k24. i wonder if there is something nicely in between like a .42 or a .40

yeah but a smaller a/r exhaust housing would be a much simpler solution. compounds would be a much more awesome solution tho haha
also i am wondering, dave had a much larger turbo, a 50 or 60 trim t04e/t3 .63 ar and he made really good power from 4000-5500 i would just think your engine would not have any issues making power properly

Ran the Caddy today.
15 psi boost, Intercooler, 50hp shot of nitrous.
This was the best of 4 runs.
