its an ALH with bosch .216s and a Malone Stage 2 tune, 229K
The Issue, the car gets a boggy feeling, No power below 2000 then it will bog out and ill get a ton of black smoke come out and she'll start stumbling and miss firing. then it will stall out. its done it a few times to me.
Sometimes at an idle the car will idle very rought, and other times Idles great.
today it did it when I restarted it it was missing hard, and would barely idle. I had white smoke with Puffs of Black smoke.
Its not the Actualator I justed replaced it. My father in law thinks its the pump going(hes a diesel mechanic) He thinks its something to do with the advance in the pump.
and Ive had a few people tell me its the flywheel going. Whats going on so I can fix the damn thing lol.
and video you can hear it missing

I didn't hear any miss at all. When my tdi was still in the 98 body and i was driving it, the car would buck and roll the white smoke on take off or just lightly revving it.. yet it runs fine on the dolley in my garage right now..
However mine was an AHU, this is definitely fuel related. I dont know if the pump can be fully blamed, as it should continuously happen if something is mechanically wrong inside the pump you'd think.

I am no expert on the TDI by any means but mom's needed a flywheel and it sounded somewhat similar.

Tomorrow me and Mani G are going to try and break it
to see what the F its doing because shuttign it off kills the problem and erases the codes if there is any. I need the issue to happen to get the code while its running.
and yes that bus was scary no power steering going 50

Impulse sender? They do go bad at higher mileage. If the sensor is not picking up the signal, it would cause a misfire. There really aren't many sensors on the TDI motor: coolant, impulse and vehicle speed. That's about it (and the 3rd injector).
I'd start at the impulse sender, and then go from there.

I would second checking the flywheel. In the videos, it sounds like the engine itself is running fine. It's like there's something in the background that is rattling irregularly. If the flywheel is flopping around out of balance, it will affect the way the engine runs. Dual mass flywheels suck. I replaced mine before it even went bad and the clutch feel improved dramatically.
Or you could have a collapsed lifter.

Just hooked the vag com and when ever thr irregular sound happens the timing is all over the place, and the IQ Jumps like crazy on the irregular sound also

check coolant temp in engine with vag-com when misfiring is occuring. possibly a bad CTS?
