needed: various ID's of hoses
« on: June 22, 2011, 02:34:09 pm »
honestly I tried searching, and couldn't come up with it. Is there a standard ID for the tube to the wastegate and the tube from the LDA to the intake? I'm trying to plumb out the boost controller and gauge and I'm a little hesitant to cut it open to bring it to the hardware store that barely has anything in stock. My girlfriend will kill me if I render this car undrivable one more time.

thanks!

1/8th inside diameter will work fine, I used high temp silcone hose since I got it for free from my job a while back

3.5mm. use silicone if you can. if you are using silicone, go with 3mm as the silicone gets a little stretchy over time.

the hose to the wastegate is closer to 3/8" it looks like. the damn boost controller i bought off ebay has 1/4" barbs. anyone got a pic of what they did to get the boost controller to fit on the t3? cut the metal line? or the rubber? or just build a boost controller with the right barbs... heh....
