I know I want a GTB Turbo....
I m just not sure what one...
Maybe you guys can help me decide.
GTB1752V 775159-0001
Model : Renault Master Traffic
2.5Dci
The housing will fit my application and it already is vaccum actuator.
Not sure the size of the wheels, the A/R or trim... Might be good for my 1.9 AHU TDI.
GTB1756VK which needs to be converted and the compressor housing needs to be cut and welded.
GTB2056VL from the volvo. It s a great housing for my project, water cooled...
All are similar priced.
What is a big factor is.....:
When and how much boost will I get from
each turbo on my engine.
:What will my EGTs be for each turbo..
:Longevity. At what boost will I have to run to reach my goal and how long will that turbo last at that boost.
A bit of background.. 1998 AHU TDI.
Head has been gasket matched and polished.( took a lot of meat out of the exhaust ports)
fresh rings and bearings and guides and valve job.
stock 10 mm pump
tune/EGR delete ect...
.216 noozles (VEG)
2 1/4" mandrel exhaust front to back, no muffler etc.
AAZ intake and exhaust manifold
It s in a 95 sidekick with toyota axles, dual T cases and 35" BFG KM`2s
weights 3400lbs. Currently has a 95 AAZ with K14 turbo in it.
Just not enough HP to cruise down the highway at 120kph
Works well offroad but the boost (15-17psi) is a little slow to kit in.
Govenor mod, boost pin ground, fuel turned up.
Thats why the upgrade to the AHU TDI...
22psi boost ish?? depending on turbo. ?
Will the stock AAZ intake manifold work in regards to flow??
What are the exact wheel specs, A/R, trim of all the above turbos.
and how will they work in my application...
I would like 180BHP (140-150WHP) ish
Low EGT temp at 120kph (2500rpm)
as fast as I can get for spool up and boost at low RPMS.
Any advice or real world applications as I can get would be appreciated.
