first picture:
those tubes with bolts in them, those are for the breather off the top of the valve cover.. hook up the breather line from the valve cover to those hoses. either find the right hose, or just get a T and some hose and make your own..
if it just blows oil out the dip stick tube even with the breather hooked up to the intake, then you have clogged ports in the intake manifold.. there have already been a few different people telling you to clean out the crud from those ports and hook it up like it should be.. -

You have to make do with what you have; put a hole through your hood, stick on a stack and a pietzo electric igniter.
If it burns, it's rings, and if it doesnt, then its valve stem seals [maybe]

I couldn't think of anything constructive to add... H'mm; perhaps use kerosine to clean out the gauze in the valve cover.

Never did get Fatmobile to respond to drilling into the intake manifold. Anyone care to speculate on what he was trying to say. I know there are four small holes in the bottom of the box, Was he thinking to enlarge them or was he even thinking?
My 81 is starting to build oil in the box and smokes at idle. Pinch the hose from the VC and watch that dipstick jump right up into your hand. Very amusing to small children in the neighborhood. You can kind of figure out when to command it out based on time and idle.

Pinching the breather will pressurize the block.
In the OP's picture, if you pull the hoses with bolts stuck in the end of 'em and look down in there you'll see how it necks way down. Looks like one of vdub's engineers wasn't wearing his thinkin' cap right then.
The port goes into a much larger one that splits into each runner. I just looked at mine (off of vehicle) and it looks like you could drill it out bigger thus eliminating some oil leaks due to lower block pressure.
Also those restrictors could be plugged with something.
A properly vented block WILL NOT push oil out the dipstick tube without very major blowby and then every seal on it would most likely leak pretty bad. -

sorry guys i've also hacked my new AT&T inspire 4g to run on gingerbread so i'm worrying those forum members over there, and my 05 mustang GT has a parasitic draw so i'm worryin those guys in that forum, and i just got a Garrett AT Pro metal detector so i'm worryin that forum called treasurenet.com about it ..
and it's gonna be exam week next week
and the stupid race is in town this weekend so i gotta get ready for that
i think the restrictors just need to be drilled out (hahaha sorry i couldn't help it)
i think that one rabbitman is right; the motor shouldn't push the dipstick out even if it was all slopped out (which mine very well could be given my PROTHE compression gauge results)
but i have decided to keep it vented to atmosphere, cause it .. kinda adds to the .. beauty of the car. like when i stop, i also smoke and it makes the hippies and the liberals whine even more.
oh, i guess i should clarify why they are whinin to begin with:
so the smoke tends to help my cause haha
i've got a whole bunch more in my window now but it's dark and it's late i'm not runnin down to snap one off.
hey i got a blinkin glowplug light.. if i drain the water and nothing comes out or the light dont stop blinkin should i snip the wires? -

Sounds like you did it correctly; The light comes on when water completes the circuit. If it's off now then you should be good. My light wasn't blinking, but the moment I touched my rear water separator it fell apart, so I just ripped it out. There was some pretty nasty stuff in there though.
