Was reading that some were looking for good valves.

I saw here that some of you were looking for nice valves for mechanical heads for thier high power IDI's.  I found the perfect items.  Being an audi guy I tripped over these.

The intakes may be a bit too big, but the inconel exhausts should drop into a stock seat!  This is a SUPER deal at the price thier offered with what they come with.

Hope this helps out!

Oh, and what are the stock valve diameters in a 1.6 IDI mechanical engine?

Stock 1.6D valves are 34mm intake and 31mm exhaust with 8mm stems.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

This is 100% correct.  The diesel valves are ~105mm in length.  The gasser valves are ~91mm in length.  Part of this has to do with the head of the diesel being flat, so the valve has to be longer.  On the gas engines, with part of the combustion chamber in the head, they're shorter.
