« on: January 15, 2006, 10:12:25 am »
ok guys, here's my prob. Switched the na 16d engine to a 1.6 td in my MKI golf. I started solving all the probs in it. The pump had a leakage thats already solved; sticky wastegate solved too and some minor problems. The only problem i cant solve is the smoke. Too much smoke. The injectors are brand new, and are Bosch. What can you guys tell me??

Black smoke at all rpm range when accelerating, but i talked to an expert today and he said the timing was advanced, not manually (when you move the pump) but in the belt, im going to retard a tooth and then im going to see what happens. I knew it was strange the engine heating to much when idling. Thnx for the replies anyway m8s :)
