I doubt that any of those places would have it, or have a listing for it. The ECOdiesel is virtually unknown by parts catalogs.

But, the fan and shroud is the same as used on the VR6 Corrado. Try your local CarQuest dealer with this part number:

1H0 119 137 A

You should be able to get it for about, or under $10.

Actually, now looking at the application list, this belt fits alot of different VWs. So, it should be pretty easy to find (maybe not at O'Pile-ees, Vatozone or (payday) Advance).

Thanks, i will try that number and I totally agree with it not being in the parts books... I hate even askin for a air filter for it. have to always bring in my old one to match it up.

I got a corrado fan shroud,, and a motor from a jetta (4pin) and for some reason the shround doesnt line up with my existing bolt holes.. almost like the shrouds is just a tad narrower (1 inch) then the radiator I have now??

EDIT:   found out my dad must have removed those 1" tabs that were originally installed UGHHHHH

Yeah I know the '95 passat VR6 has a goofy little fan belt, seems like it would be the same on all of 'em.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

That's probably because these were the only cars that used this rad fan setup (1991-1992 ECODiesel, and 1990-1993 Corrado VR6), at least in the USA.

As you've noted, the fan motor has the 4-terminal plug for a 3-speed fan, but only the correct fan will fit into the shroud and clear the radiator.

Unless the motor you have came from either of those 2 cars, I'm afraid that even if you get the motor mounted, it will hit the radiator or cause problems down the road.

Another thing to consider: you said you got the shroud from a Corrado. Was it a VR6 Corrado? The G60 (4 cylinder motor) and the VR6 used two completely different shrouds and motors.

Regarding the filter, just look up the air filter for the same year make and model, but with a 1.8 gas motor. They're exactly the same.

i seriously almost peed a little when i read that.. funniest thing ive heard in a while..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.
