Ive done all the necessary mods to reach above 13-15psi to my 1.6td, but I just cant seem to get above that pressure in 1st or 2nd gear?? 3rd i can hold a little above 15psi and 4th with peg 20psi, not that i want to run that much boost constantly, i feel that if i could hit 18psi in 2nd gear it would be...alot more fun?

Could it be happening just because there is less load on the car in a lower gear?

That would be my guess... the engine needs to be working against a serious load to generate heat. That's why you get little or no boost reving the engine at a red light.

One clue is that the factory test for boost specifies a hard pull up a hill in
3rd gear.
Ahhhhh, great info! One more quick question, what is the most popular mod to do, to get boost to come in quicker, or the turbo to spool faster? Ive turned in the screw on top of the LDA a little bit, Max fuel screw is in enough to where im out of idle adjustment

, Id just like boost to come in a bit sooner!
To help improve your spool, you need one of those valves on the WG line that doesn't allow the WG to start opening at all, until a certain minimum pressure has been reached.
^ This, and if you are running through stock exhaust, an upgrade will help your spool time a bit.
which line is the WG line? theres 2 lines on mine, one going to the compressor housing and the other going somewhere else i kinda forgot
the line from the comp housing to the WG is what your lookin for..
