need a seal for the cold-start lever shaft in my 82 NA injection pump. Don't want to purchase a seal set, just that one. Any place where I can order just that seal? thanks

Any shop that will sell you the kit can also order the seal.

Thanks, I hadn't taken it apart yet, wanting to be able to reassemble promptly.

like i said, take it apart, and go to the hydraulic shop, or the nearest auto parts store. its just an o-ring. nothing special.

I got an entire genuine Bosch seal kit from Giles for about $27ca if I remember correctly. If the cold start seal is leaking, chances are the other seals are not far off. Always good to have extra seals hanging around. I think a regular o-ring would work. Just remember that these pumps are metric with metric seals.

For the amount of hassle in taking the pump off and timing it I would just use the proper o-ring. The Bosch one is harder then usual because of the daily movement of the cold start advance.

Incorrect.
i went to the hydraulic shop, looked thru the metric o-rings, found the one that worked. and from what i can tell, its as good as what would have came in a kit. except it was FREE instead of having to buy a 50 dollar pump seal kit. and you know what? my pump cant tell the difference!
