Precups

I read a patent article the other day talking about ceramic (silicon nitride) Isuzu precups from an early/mid 80's engine being used a chrysler diesel (not sure what) but anyway it was said to increase fuel economy by 4-5% due to less thermal energy loss. Anybody heard about these made by kyocera ceramic cups? Toyota is said to have used them also.

they have been discussed. but most of us are sticking with the inconel ones. they are there and already work very well.
