ABA AC alt bracket?
« on: March 15, 2010, 12:56:17 pm »
hullo all, I am looking at a new base for the charger bracket, and have an ABA W/AC alternator bracket that I can use.

my question is, does anyone know if it will fit on a 1.6 diesel and clear the IP?

I like the idea of using the ABA bracket as it has a tensioner built into it, I just want to make sure it will clear the diesel stuff before I decide that it is the right thing to use...

good to know...

well, I don't have either of those at my disposal, so I think I will continue with my plans of using the early AC retrofit bracket as a base for the charger bracket(as I have a lead on one of those)

unless someone has an AAZ or 1Z bracket lying around...

What about an AC bracket that's actually supposed to be on a diesel?  I have one sitting on my front steps that's been there for months now...

is it for a serp belt?

or is it the AC bracket from a 1.6 with a v-belt?
