• Conventional but it's not the original engine. I took the original out at 470,000 kms because it was running on and I already had a spare. Found stuck rings on #3 piston. Hope to rebuild it some day.

• Where did you get the valve cover? I've never seen one like that. By the way, awesome truck. I've been thinking about picking up an 80 Rabbit truck body from a friend for $400 and putting my spare diesel motor in it.

• The valve cover is a cast G60 cover that's been powdercoated. It'll be for sale next spring.

• OMG that truck is sooooooooo clean!!!  :shock:  I love it!!  
  p.s. I knew that was a G60 Valve cover; my friend is putting one on his Jetta TD .

  You should get a rear sway bar for next summer, you'll notice amelioration when taking curves. :wink:  :twisted:

  It is currently having its radiator and oil cooler replaced as they were both shot to pieces.
  
  Have already bought some lowered suspension and some 7 1/2x 13 mattig steel wheels from German ebay.
  
  Once I have used it for a couple of months I will be getting the fuel and boost sorted out.
