My 85 Coupe. Nothing fancy but has never been painted. 710,000 kms and 5 collisions with deer so far. This pic was taken the day after a deer collision, note the missing mirror and bent antenna. Only paid $400 for it 10 years ago. Most reliable car I've ever owned (just had it on a 1000 km road trip yesterday). Hopefully getting it painted in the next couple months though.

Here it is rolling over 700,000 kms. I had to pull over and take a pic.

Are you running conventional oil, or synthetic????

Conventional but it's not the original engine. I took the original out at 470,000 kms because it was running on and I already had a spare. Found stuck rings on #3 piston. Hope to rebuild it some day.

Where did you get the valve cover? I've never seen one like that. By the way, awesome truck. I've been thinking about picking up an 80 Rabbit truck body from a friend for $400 and putting my spare diesel motor in it.

The valve cover is a cast G60 cover that's been powdercoated. It'll be for sale next spring.

OMG that truck is sooooooooo clean!!!    I love it!!  :D
p.s. I knew that was a G60 Valve cover; my friend is putting one on his Jetta TD ;).

Anyway, here's the latest pic of my BioBunny :).

(dropped her by an inch about a month ago; stiffer ride and a LOT less wheel gap!)    I should have done it long ago! ;).

Very nice VWScully with the Membo's!

You should get a rear sway bar for next summer, you'll notice amelioration when taking curves.

1988 1.6td

It is currently having its radiator and oil cooler replaced as they were both shot to pieces.

Have already bought some lowered suspension and some 7 1/2x 13 mattig steel wheels from German ebay.

Once I have used it for a couple of months I will be getting the fuel and boost sorted out.

Cheers Bri

Bri, you are from London England, right?

Not London Ontario... :D

Nice car, we didn't get the A2 golf with the turbo diesel here, simply the 1.6D NA.
