Please tell me it is because you need to refresh your diesel and the 2.0 is what you have laying around?

On topic, I think you should need to replace them. They will be fine for a while, but the unleaded will dry out the diesel soaked lines I would think.

Im honestly sick of diesels right now, I have owned and opperated them for a long long time, great on gas, have some ok go... but Im in need of more and dont want to spend for a new Modded pump etc. So my cheapest route is to go 2.0L aba with carbs (no ***ty electronics) and sell my 1.6td.. its a great motor with 309k on it, never gave me to much issues, only the glow plugs went and I had to put new ones, but thats normal...

Thanks for the info, and Ill replace the lines with gas ones...

also, whats this little motor worth?

only upgrades/changes on it are,

Water  pump
timing belt,
rubber valve cover gasket w/studs,
tensioner,
pump resealed,
glow plugs are new,
1.9td downpipe (modded to work)

the fuel screw turned in a bit and a little turn in on the smoke screw, and I was running around 15psi... No smoke at all, nothing... even under accell it still wont smoke, and no oil burn (no blue smoke)... starts nicely in the cold too, without much of an issue...

THANKS

I just threw up in my mouth.

AHAHAHAHA.......

Not sure what the motor's worth, look on ebay to get an idea.......uhhh, you turned the fuel screw AND smoke screw in? :-\
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.
