I don't really understand the issue... just replace it. All of the GPs can be removed without removing the head or IP.
If you're lucky, it's #3 or 4.

I think he means that the end is burned off... Might want to check your injectors, when they leak they will cause the ends to burn off. Was the engine still running?

Yes it`s broken by top end ( about 12 mm ) I can change GP and I did ,but top is in Precombustion Chamber so I gess.Engine is running,Just hard to start because battery, timing, air and parhaps this 12 mm but than charge battery it`s start. I don`t know when this is begin I am afraid this will fall down in piston -valve, it`s look like this is same very hard material so I think I am not burn this top by driving so far.Man we mast love this DIESEL engine.

late response

I had a Ford eat a broken tip with no apparent ill effect, just rattled more than usual for 10 minutes.
I may have just been lucky.

they can burn away slowly It may not have broken off if it runs good drive it Ive' seen stuff rattle around in the cumbustion chamber and just bury itself in the top off the piston without any ill effect bit of a gamble good luck whichever way you go!

thanks guys for response!
I would like somebody with this problem and have head off after to say samething but even Lotto is hard by way.All the time inside motor (I believe ) heat and pressure is almost same for top of GP so for 100k it`s survive this conditions and hard to believe but it will best to melt and evaporate. All my life from a few girls and wife I listen of how importance is this 12 mm.

If you think the piece is still in the prechamber, and you want it out, just pull the injector and crank the motor over. Compression will throw the pice out of the engine. Don't forget a new heat shield when you put it back together.

I agree. I've seen a heat shield go flying and hit the roof of the garage. It's a dangerous but funny way to remove the old ones once you tap them free.

A bicycle spoke works well too.

i take a slightly tapered punch, and stick it in the hole of the heat shield. then i push down a little, then rock it and pull the shield out of the head.
