WTB engine/timing cover parts

Right now this is what i can think of.If you have read my posthttp://vwdiesel.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3510you will know what i need,I need a timing cover upper and lower.Iwould like the older metal one fit it will fit my 86 1.6N/A.Also so far form what i can see i need a intermedit shaft pully.might need more when i take off other parts.I do not know yet but might need a A/C compressor.This is all i can think of right now.Thanks for any helps

I don't think you can use a metal upper timing belt cover in an '86....
 without removing the metal shield that's behind the cam gear.
 If you removed the shield you could use one and the matching, plastic lower cover.
 If you don't remove the shield, then you will also need to find the clips that hold the plastic upper cover to the tin shield you have.

Ok i guess ill just need the lower cover the top is on it and the bolts or what ever hold it on.

What kind of upper timing belt cover do you have?
 Plastic or metal?

A plastic one.I still do not get WTF was the guy thinking of leving the lower off.

Sometimes the belts and pullys can chew up the lower timing belt covers.

That happend on my Scirocco 16V,it was like that when i got it.
