I kinda feel like this topic has been beaten to within an inch of its life, but I still want to see pictures of peoples installs. I'm mainly just wondering about the physical placement and what people did with the EGR. I'm also told that the Passat intakes faced the opposite way, making it a little easier to run IC piping. But enough of my yammering, lets see these things....

Bingo! That's exactly what I was looking for. Any trouble with mounting? Is that a K24 i'm seeing?
If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost for the port and polish job?
That looks so damn good!

I don't usually want a polished intake and i thought the PD intake looked funny and boring at first. But after seeing it on the head with the early exhaust mani (k24-T3-K14 style) I kinda want one now. Certainly thats gotta be better than the stock aaz intake.

thanks
it's a K14.
To get it to mount some of the posts that I believe were used to mount the PD's heat shield had to be trimmed, but it was a really easy job.
I did the polish myself. It took forever and was a total PITA. I did most of the interior with a dremmel flapwheel on a flexshaft and the rest with my fingers.
I know a couple of people on here did extrude hone though and it might be worth it if you have the $$

a 1Y wont even come close to fitting with a top mount turbo like that. you either gotta run low mount or VNT.

yea, the design is great, but a gasser intake is way way easier to get and works just the same, unless you have a AAZ headed motor.

it's a K14.
Do you think a T3 would fit? Maybe a T3 flanged 8v ATP style exhaust mani would provide more clearence.
Here is my 1Y intake
I would rather have the longer more "tuned" style intake like the 1Y for a little more low end response.
