A buddies truck: 200ish kms, new IP, new fuel tank, added a lift pump to a stock location, no fuel tank vacuuming, free flowing catless stock exhaust, clean air filter, fresh fuel filter, runs and idles fine...
After a couple hundred meters it starts to dork and you lose all power like it's getting the fuel cut off, the more fuel pedal the worse it gets?!?!? All that's listed above has been done try ing to resolve the issue...
Any input anyone?
is the lift pump restricting flow? Some of the junkie lift pumps can't keep up with the cummins pressure needs.
Definitely sounds like it's not getting enough fuel
Yes check the fuel pressure.
check the fuel suction hose from the tank to see if there are any restrictions. also check all the banjo bolts for cloggs. i had a clogged banjo bolt once and my car would starve for fuel bad.
If its a 24V its probably a lift pump, definitely check fuel filter though anyway.....could be gelled allready?
My 2001 Cummins will throw a code for behavior like that. Did you read the codes and does it show a CEL.
