Wow, most interesting was on page 3 of that last link, the dieselplace.com testing of common diesel fuel additives on untreated ULSD- I always thought that the Stanadyne stuff was the standard but it actually made it worse! I'd like them to run the test over again from a sample of "normal" pump ULSD.

Well I'll try it in the common 125:1 mix ratio. We'll see if it does anything. I'm just very paranoid about the lubricity of ULSD.....

i ran a concoction of used motor oil, white gasoline, 2 cycle oil and transmission fluid in my car once. ive never had quite so much power off of anything besides diesel. it was nuts really, how much more power it had and there wasnt a drop of diesel in the fuel tank.

1:200 two stroke works for me.
I'm a bit wary of ATF as many contain "friction modifiers" for the clutch bands.
Sand is an excellent friction modifier!

Been using this for some months now, no more mpg or smoke reduction but much quieter when cold and a little smoother. tbh I only seen the benefit when I stopped, Ive since started again, low ash non synthetic walmarts (asda) cheapest!

when it's above 60F I run a mix of 4 gals used canola oil, .9 gals used gasoline from the local auto crusher, and 1oz. of turpentine in my IDI vehicles.

That's impressive!! you provided the lubrication, and MADD BTU's You made your own fuel (that im gonna say is better then Diesel)
I think the reason you noticed so much extra power was because you actually did have it. Motor Oil has like a ton more BTU to it then Diesel does.. You had a bad-ass fuel concoction there

two cycle oil works real good to add extra lubricity to the pump and it doesnt smoke on burning - mates RX7 and RX8 lives on 2S oil mixed with petrol - another mates stupid mercedes ponton diesel uses 2S oil to run smoothly otherwise the pump decides not to play fair

well guys, i could never mix up that concoction ever again. i wanted to go do something, and there was no diesel around the house and my tank was empty. started looking around. found a couple gals of waste oil, dumped a quart or so of trans fluid in, poured in some white gasoline (coleman fuel, not kerosene.. there is a difference) and a BUNCH of two cycle oil. probably almost a quart of that too. mixed it up in a gas can and poured it in. made myself around 4 gallons of racing diesel

i know it works tho, because my car easily lights up the tires in 2nd gear with my home brew in the tank. no 100 foot long posi-trac 2nd gear burn outs on normal diesel, even if its red.. (whats currently in my tank

oh yea, i still have 3 gallons kicking around if someone could do an analysis to how much of what it has in it, i dunno if you can do that, but i have some left. and im sure that i could probably come up with some sort of recipe for it. my car even started easier with my own fuel, and made less ignition ping at idle. the fuel looks gnar tho, it looks just like straight black motor oil. but smells like coleman fuel and trans fluid. i kinda almost think i mixed about a half gallon oil, a quart trans, a half quart 2c oil and half quart of coleman fuel. sucks when you burn it tho, it smells like your rings are shot. lol

Once I rebuild my engine, I'm gonna make some. Thanks, rabbitonroids. Any clue as to the kind and type of use motor oil it is? and the type of tranny fluid? does it mix well together, or does it seperate and have to be mixed again? I think you should get on this and sell your own recipe as a patent brother, you may just have something here.
