VE pump rebuild process
« on: August 02, 2009, 06:54:16 pm »
I'm going to reseal my pump soon and the kit came with way more parts than I thought it would... So if figured I might as well use as many of them as possible. So I'm looking at doing a rebuild. Thought I would google  it to see what came up  found this  :o http://etc.gnarlodious.com/Vanagon/Bosch_Pump/-Rebuild.html  :o. A step by step of exactly how to rebuild a VE style pump. Lacking in a few places but worthy of a spot in the how to section.

There is a Utube video VE reseal video done by a guy in Ashland, OR.  He sells for $25 on Utube, or $30 on eBay.

I just used that video to reseal my n/a pump. Overall I would say it was very helpful for a first timer. It even comes with a pdf document that shows you how to make a few of the specialty sockets needed. It is a little lacking with the turbo diesel pump but if used in conjunction with Andrews well written post in the FAQ's
