I run offroad diesel in my rigs a lot. Never had any problems or hassle from anyone.

Don't forget that your intake system has as big an influence on hearing the turbo as your exhaust.  Those big factory air filter boxes really dampen the sound.  A cone filter should help increase the sound you hear a lot.

don't listen to any of these fools with mufflers.  I ran a 3" downpipe for a year and it isn't loud.  If you make it right and get it out the back with out rattling then it will be awesome.  2.5 is great and 3" can be done as well.  Good luck.  I second the cone filter as well.  Turbo's ARE mufflers.

only reason i put a muffler on my car was to avert cop attention. i loved the sound of my car when i was just running a downpipe.

and uh, you dont really hear the turbo out the intake. its hard for sound to travel through air moving really fast in the opposite direction. thats why we hear the exhaust so good, because the air is pushing the sound out the tail pipe, instead of trying to suck the sound back into the intake. i get barely any turbo sound out the intakes on both my turbo cars.

My set up sounds pretty wicked. You can hear the spooling under 90 km/hr.

it's 2.5 from the turbo back. All butt welds.

3" Turbo back, ran a 20" glasspack under the tunnel then a 3" Magnaflow muffler with a 4" turn down out the back.

Sounded sweet.

race only

race only?
if you have a racing rig only, then just put a big chrome hood stack on it. i think a hood stack would be friggen sweet.
racing exhaust system? who needs an exhaust system when they are racing?!
