VW industrial ADG engine up for grabs. Comes with or without stand with controls, rad etc for water pump or generator . Engine has piston oilers and TDI crank pulley [no more ruined crank noses !] Never ran more than 2500 rpms and has less hours run than the one i used for my Transporter- when i pulled the head to have a look, the head was perfect-not even one crack between the valves, and zero carbon on the pistons. Comes with IP for the application-small 8mm head, but like the motor, the insides will be like new. Perfect for hi-po turbo applications . $900 CND just the motor,$1100 CND with the stand., plus shipping/handling.

flywheel adapters, an 1800rpm gov. It'll likely only be good for 15kw-20kw

This is the stand without the motor. I don't have a pic of the one i just received because it' s being dropped off at my work. Any other info can be found by searching for VW ADG industrial motors.
The parts that come with the stand have the flywheel adaptors to attach to whatever you want. And quoting kd4yor- 15-20kw should be enough to power a home or few houses in a blackout. The stand in the photo is for sale also, price drop to $250 CND

with that belt drive set up you could do a reduction to spin the alternator at 1800. Then run the engine up around 2200 and get more volts.

Sorry everyone-the engine is scrap. The person who was storing it,in a warehouse, went to dig it out, only to discover that a pipe had leaked water right into the intake, possibly for months. he tried starting it and then tried turning it by hand-no go. We may open it the see what can be salvaged.

too bad he tried to start it... i bet its much worse after doing that. if the engine was disassembled first, the bores could just be honed a bit to remove rust, and a little clean up then voila
at least the stand is still good though
