There is a separate idle adjust screw that has an o-ring around it, it's a flat-head screw that is recessed in a hole, perpendicular to the butterflies on the throttle body.  That screw can back itself out sometimes if the o-ring is old and brittle, but that would be pretty obvious when you started it up if that happened.

I'm currently carrying around a small flathead screwdriver bit in the coin tray (ashtray for you smoker types :D) for exactly that reason. The o-ring is gone it's so old, and "spirited" runs up to 4k RPM will back that screw out far enough to idle me at 2k RPM.

My usual procedure right now (until I get around to replacing the o-ring) is to drive to where I'm going, get out, pop the hood, and adjust the idle back where it belongs while the engine is still hot. :D

Heh.  It's a CIS car, they should have sold the cars with a small flathead screwdriver and a 3mm T-handle hex driver in the glovebox.  :P

Mixture screw access hole is still plugged, never even had to touch it. The idle screw, on the other hand... :D
