As some of you ya know I just sold my Jetta with the 24/26 Turbo.

I bought an 02 Passat with  the 1.8t, and it has a k03 on it.

Talk about a small turbo.

The turbo inlet is just a hair larger than a US Quarter and the shaft is maybe 1/8".

I'll see if I can get some pics of the housings, posted below are the pics of  compressor wheels.

K03 on top, K24 next, K26 bottom.

This one is the k03 exhaust side compared to the k26.

moral of the story your ask?

Bolting on a k14 would be a serious upgrade compared to this thing.

ALSO!!! the K03 could be an AWESOME turbo for the 1.6....
It pushed 20psi on my 1.8 no problem, combined with a small FMIC this little thing would spool off idle!!

Is the turbo on the 1.8 water cooled?

The gas K03 is different then the diesel K03. I'm not sure if the diesel K03 would appreciate 20 psi for very long.

The diesel k03 is way beefier than this little thing, the shaft is larger on the diesel version.

The gasser version has a less agressive compressor wheel though.

Also lets not forget. Diesel k03 is Garret. Gasser K03 is KKK

Not on the AAZ engines. They are KKK. I'm not sure about the TDI motors
