So yeah, I live in Ontario. I am 19. My car is an 84
I need affordable insurance for a youngster'
There is a really good place called Bel-aire direct.. internet based. However they do not insure ANYTHING over 18.. pathetic lol
All i need is Liability. I was just fishing the waters to get off my moms insurance so i can stop getting jacked for some obnoxious amount like $5200/yr.
What ya'll think?

my younger brother is in the same boat. he's trying to insure a 1985 audi 4000, and that is going to be around $300/month if he's lucky... most insurance company's won't even insure it.
btw, belair direct has been bending me over for a while now. i'm switching to CAA insurance soon. cooperators might be good too. they also quoted me less than belair, but more than the CAA insurance.

My insurance company (wawanesa) is trying to hose me for $200 a month. I'm 23 with a clean record.
When I was 18 I was paying $230/mo with pilot insurance on my 84 rabbit.

THE HORROR!!
I am under my mom's insurance now and we are with Co-operators.. but there sticking me because there's more than one vehicle I can be driving... BS.
Here's where they'll get me if I stay with them, they'll see that i still live at home and the same 2006 f-150 is still available for me to drive.. and they'll rape me again

Ontario auto insurance sucks..
I guess I will dare to see what co-op offers me by myself with the car in my name and being the only driver. I don't get why people won't insure them. The car itself has nothing to do with the pay-out. Liability would be all I would get on it. its not worth the pay out if i crash it, or if somebody totals me... and liability is in case i get sued for something right? that could happen in the 95 astro i was previously driving that i paid a ton less in.
GAHH i hate this crap! lol
Tyler, what is pilot insurance? 230/mo ?!?! thats almost half what im at now

you should be able to sign an agreement that you won't drive certain cars. the insurance company will really stiff you if you drive that car and get into an accident, or are caught somehow.
yea insurance company's here in Ontario pretty much have the carte blance in terms of when and how often or how hard they want to rape you. lube optional.
but then again there are some really stupid drivers here... almost as bad as in some parts of Quebec

Yeah I used to live there, but you can get insurance from any Ontario company that you want. I'm not sure if you can get insurance from a different province, but maybe.

Well I'm 19, No tickets, No Suspensions. The car and myself are under my mothers flawless 32 year record. I don't understand why they are gouging me so bad! I mean im in the range of 5100-5300 a year. Pathetic. I drive a 1984 76hp Volkswagen 4 door. What can they possibly think im doing!?!?!
I hate Ontario.. Not only that but my damn car is to old to qualify for a really good cheap online insurance
