WTB: clutch master cylinder
« on: March 12, 2009, 10:14:08 am »
does anyone have a good used one?  $120 for a brand new one is a bit much... should be mk3 style.  i'm going to try a different way of hooking it up as well.  don't laugh, but i'm going to use the clutch cable to actuate the rod... ok you can laugh

thanks

I've got one from a MK3 TDI.  I have the line that goes to the slave too if you need that.  $30 for both plus whatever shipping costs.

do you have the line as well? or does standard brake line work?  you don't happen to have the axles from a corrado mk2 do you?

yes i need corrado axles! are they in good shape?

i'm also curious if a standard brake fitting will fit the corrado clutch master cyl, or if i need to buy a special line?
thanks

It came from a working car that was packed in the rear.  It came from a more southern car too so its not real rusty.

A regular brake line would probably work but there is a hose too.  The line I have has the hardline and hose.
Need anything else?  I have a rado pedal cluster and a MK3 shifter box and cables.

oh well thanks for looking!  i'm going to hit up the 'tex and see what i can find.  most ppl will want to sell them as a set, but we'll see! shipping just the master might be a bit of a pain (shipping & customs, etc) so i'll try local first.
