Boost Controller Install ?
« on: February 28, 2009, 06:11:14 am »
Im hooking up a manual boost controller to a K24. Now that I have split the steel line which side does the the in side of the line goes to the boost conroller. Im assuming its the cold side of the turbo, and then the exit side of the boost conroller is the wastegate side?

Thanks

Hey, BioDieselVW, just out of curiosty, do you burn "bio" in your caddy, if so, what form? I've heard of "wvo-ers" in south Florida running it without pre-heat, but the forum went down and I never heard about long-term effects. Just curious=warren

I run B-100. Homebrew that I make myself. I have been running it for 4 yrs now w/  no problems. I just had to chage out some of the rubber lines.

Wow, that was fast-thanks. B-100 must be better for your caddy, but more effort. I've run 4/1 wvo/kerosene in a Ford pkup for several months with no known ill-effects. Do you recomend bio? Where would I start? I have all the shop space, barrels, totes, wvo and sunlight I would need. Appreciate the boost-warren
ps Is there glycerin left as a by-product? If so what do you do with it??

My processor is what they call an " appleseed processor ". If you google it you will get all sorts of info. There is a learning curve to making Bio but once you get it its very easy. Cost me about 60 cents a gallon to make. Glycerin is a by product. You can toss it or make soap out of it. or even use in compost as im told.
