boost gauge install HELP!!!!!!!!

hey new to this TD stuff where can i tee in for the boost gauge hose. cant find any lines any where around the engine.

I tee-ed mine into the line that runs from the turbo to the LDA.

my bad its a 1990 jetta 1.6TD. that line that you are talking about kantdrivefast that is the steel one right.

No.
You want to use the line that connects to the fuel pump - the mushroom shaped thing on top of that (called LDA). That line should be rubber!
The feed for that should come from the inlet manifold 'elbow' in most cases.
Using that line to fit the 'T' will tell you the pressure that's entering the engine, disrecarding all the pressure drop associated with the possible intercooler, boost pipes etc.

Depending on where he lives (Update your profile, dude!)
a 1990 TD Jetta in the US is just an Eco,
therefore, no LDA...

I dont know where to tap that but any vacuum line connected to the intake manifold should do fine.

I don't have an LDa with my turbo NA.  I run my boost gauge right off the intake manifold with some 1/4" synflex tubing.
Works like a charm.

i have a 1990 jetta wolfsburg and i live in canada
i think i do have the LDA i remember that hose going to it
another question the egt temp what should it range between to be safe??

If your egt probe is mounted into the exhaust manifold before the turbo max. i would take it up to is 1400.
