FS: one full set of ten 11mm cylinder head bolts from my 1.6NA diesel rabbit. I had these installed for break-in miles only (~ 1000 mi) before installing a turbo and replacing the bolts with ARP studs. These come with ten matching hardened washers.

Don't know if you know, but these are stretch bolts(one stretch per use)

I've searchd that topic extensively on these boards and opinions are split.
One train of thought is that they are one use only.
Another train of thought is that aren't stretch bolts - just that VW recommends not reusing the original bolts from a diesel that has seen hundreds of thousands of miles and 25 years of service.
I'm offering these for those that believe the latter.
Opinions my be split but I would NEVER I'll say that a little louder NEVER reuse head bolts...!!!!

I'll take it that you WON'T I'll say it a little louder
WON'T be calling dibs then!!!!
The Bentley manual sez you can reuse the allen head 11mm bolts but not the star type 12mm bolts. What's up with that?
I measured stretch bolts i removed with new ones when i did a HG replace ages ago and the tri-square head bolts DO stretch. I didn't have calipers but they were at least 1-2 mm longer. (which is a lot i think for metal that thick).
I agree, re-using head bolts i don't think is a good idea. for what it's worth anyways. New ones aren't exactly expensive.
are yours 11mm allen or 12mm tri-square?
11mm allen - the reusable non-stretch variety
11mm bolts are not stretch bolts. everywhere ive read anything about these motors, states that the 11mm bolts are reuseable. and says they dont stretch. i know how a stretch bolt feels when you torque it.. and they definetly dont stretch. my grandpa and i have re used at least 2 dozen sets of 11mm bolts without a failure.
