Looking for pictures of the Passenger Performance 1.6 intake
« on: December 20, 2008, 11:38:54 am »
Just like it states, I cant find pics of it anywhere anymore.  Need pics of the 1.6l td intake manifold that they use to sell.  If you have one and could take pics that would be great!

I am going to try to have someone make one for me, thats the reason for the pics.

The internals on these, is everything completely hollow until it hits the runners on the stock intake?  If thats so, this doesn't seem to hard for someone to make.

If someone has one that can take a pic of the inside it would be great!

If I remember correctly, there was nothing fancy about the inside.  It wasn't dual plenum and there were no baffles or anything.

I remember it saying dual plenum.  I remember asking if that could be explained.

There is a calculated narrow slot that divides the two plenums, no internal baffles. Definitely two plenums, but not quite as simple as just putting the two together, took a while to figure out how to get the best air distribution across the ports under pressure.

Anyway you would like to show up pics, or better explain as to what you did.  Since you are no longer making these for us you wouldn't be losing money, and it would be helping the community...   :D  :D  :D

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe an SDI is a naturally aspirated direct injection engine.  I have no idea what the intake looks like though.  Can you post some pics?

suction diesel injection.  pretty much a fancy way of saying naturally aspirated diesel engine (as it should be implied that all diesel engines are injection)

the n/a manifold has some long, equal length runners.  it does pose some mounting issues as it gets in the way of the turbo...

I am actually still making these, just need to find a canadian or american distributor. The problem is I don't have time to take so many orders and individual shipping, so I need to find a retailer to buy 5 at a time or more.
