[/b]SOLD .....Thanks Ben!!!
I've been looking into getting one of these. I read your workaround with the nuts on the pulley, I don't have access to a welder so I'm probably going to go this route. How difficult is it to get one of these working?
any interest in trading for some spare parts I have posted?

Would this work well to convert the TDI ECU signal to run an older tach? Is it still available?

I don't think it will be too difficult to get it working however the instructions are horrible imho....if you purchase I can help ya' with understanding the obvious "greek" installation manual ....right now i'd like cash to justify buying a different boost and egt gauge....

Still available....but I don't think it will be able to convert a TDI's ecu signal for an older tach....what kind of alternator are you using?...it can convert a inductive signal down to 36 teeth.....which means you can point an inductive pickup at your cam or IP sprocket(44t) or your flywheel teeth via inductive pickup and use that signal to power your tach with this converter or you can tap into you alternator and use the W signal....
The alt i'm using is the 120amp but i was trying to just modify the signal from ecu which i believe is 0-5volts to operate an older(mk1) tach. I can calibrate using the vagcom but am unsure if the dakota works this way.

I would go to Dakota's website and on the DSL-1 page they have a link to the installation manual in PDF.....
