There are kits on ebay in the USA for about 25 dollars and here in Europe they cost around 150 dollars , what the difference or is it just the price ?

They are a total joke.
They dont have the power to create any meangingful increase so you might as well flush your money down the toilet as opposed to buying one!

Use an air compressor to charge a fairly large air tank under normal driving, then a dump mode into the intake manifold, for acceleration. This would probably get you results as good, or better than the standard electric supercharger kit found on ebay, and the like.

this is not to say an Ebay SC kit is worth more than a pile of human excrement, only that an air compressor would be as useful as something useless, if not more useful.

Those ebay superchargers are cheap overseas bilge blowers we use in marine to remove vapors from the bottom of boats (actually don't even use the cheap ones). Probably go to your local West Marine and get one cheaper.(or without the shipping cost$)

In front of your turbo - it would act as an obstruction.

That post with the Nissan is really funny, I wonder if any documented HP gains could offset the extra wieght of that stuff and all the batteries, etc.

It's going to be a bugger to reach under the hood and pull the starter cord when you're sitting at the light and decide to race the guy next to you. (Not that anyone in Ontario would even consider this - we know it's illegal).

LOL !!!! Yeah, if you can run the pull cord through the FW to start it when you want boost !! :-) I actually sat in a WWII aircraft that was similar to the Piper Cub. It had a pull cord through the FW to start the thing !!!

OK, you reminded me of a small accessory I want to add to my IDI Caravan. I have loads of room under the hood. I have a spare 65a alternator and a spare 2 stroke large leaf blower motor, and a fresh rebuilt 3.5 hp Tecumseh motor. I have been caught in the cold with a low battery on my diesel rabbit before with no one to jump me. So, what If I married one of these engines to the spare alternator for an under hood APU ? I would not mind popping the hood to start it if needed. Over kill ?
