Not sure if there is any 'sarcasm' in the comments about the priming bulb/handpump, maybe I'm just being paranoid....
They are a useful addition IMO, tho expensive at the motorfactors for what they are these days... they had all been pilfered from the citroen/Peugeot diesels at the scrappies!!!

Door and wing are off for rust repair and glass swop....

I am not being sarcastic at all. It's a really good idea. I hate priming.

welcome mate, nice rattle ;-)

on the priming "bulb" my neighbour showed me his isuzu diesel a while back - he put a primer pump for an outboard motor fuel tank on his - exactly the same - and cheap!

That's one smooth running engine you got there Kevin, especially if it hasn't run in 2 years.

I bought the engine through an Irish forum...
Ive had it about 10 months; its was covered in 'horse/cow byproduct' so gave the engine a good clean and power wash... didnt get too 'anal'...
...on its short initial start up, I noticed some oil in the water...
...Im hoping its the oil/warmer, intercooler thing above the oil filter rather than the head gasket... engine had 160,000 miles on it when I bought it...
...not that many AAZ engine'd cars like this in Ireland; most came over on the boat (from UK)...

I have to say I'm impressed by this site and the level of knowledge shared... amazing what can be done to a diesel 'chugga' for relatively small money in comparsion to a pertrol....

Hit there Kevin...

I've also done that primer bulb mod to my AAZ in a T25 - and yes, from a Peugeot in a scrapyard. Those little stainless fuel-line clips Peugeot  use are incredibly good things.

All the VW diesels in Midlands and Northern scrapyards disappear within hours of arriving - a big Eastern European operation buying them up en bloc, mainly Polish I imagine.

Great forum here by there way, the best on VW diesels in the world I should think!

Please excuse me if I just post an image for test purposes below, will remove it soon, thanks
