is $125.00 too much to pay for a metal aaz HG, rod bearings and a timing belt? (i thought so ...)

Ive seen some links for HG's that are cheaper..but if you want a few parts and good quality parts I would hook up with Myke 8)

$83.20 total from http://www.importcarpartscanada.ca including shipping.

These are good quality parts (continental TB w/ tensioner, Mahle bearings, and Victor Reinz metal 2 notch HG).

I sound like an ad.

i would go with what myke sells... good quality stuff (thats where i got my stuff from)

BUT... the CDN dollar is taking a dump right now (even worse than when i bought my stuff  :roll:)

DO NOT FORGET TO NOT BUY THE INTEGRAL THRUST BEARING ONE!!! (if you're planning on buying main bearings of course...)

uhhh i got new bearings for the con rods...

I dunno about thrust bearings. I dont even know where the thrust bearing is or what it does.

When you step on the clutch,..
 It shoves the crank into the thrust bearing.

 I learned from this forum to always take it out of gear and have my foot off the clutch when I start the car,.. so I'm not shoving the crank into the thrust bearing without any oil lubing things up.

So in order to change said bearing i'd have to take the crank out of the block...

dang. Think i'll skip on that one.
Aie, i always start her up in neutral with my foot off the clutch.
I do that will all cars that allow it. just force of habit
