I've been looking into getting one of these. I read your workaround with the nuts on the pulley, I don't have access to a welder so I'm probably going to go this route. Would this work well to convert the TDI ECU signal to run an older tach? Is it still available?
The alt i'm using is the 120amp but i was trying to just modify the signal from ecu which i believe is 0-5volts to operate an older(mk1) tach. I can calibrate using the vagcom but am unsure if the dakota works this way.
