Yeah, I got my new clutch put so I decided to see if it'd burn rubber. So I stop in the middle of the road, rev it to about 3k rpm, engage clutch 'till it's draggin', floor the smoke pedal and then dump the clutch. Wow, I never dreamed I'd see the day, the tires lit up (sorta) and squealed like mad haha. They didn't stop squealing untill I ran out of rpms in 1st and I didn't bother tryin' 2nd. Anyways both tires made black lines and when I paced 'em I got 45ft for the passenger side and 48ft for the drivers side. I never thought it could do that! haha. It must have a heavy flywheel I guess lol.
PS. There was more smoke coming out the tailpipe than off the tires.

'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.
I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Not yet, I have a VNT-15 but don't have everything for installing it. My plan was to run a 2.25 inch exhaust front to back but I might just make a 2.5 inch down pipe for now and neck it down to the stock system 'till I can make the whole thing. I don't have the oil feed pipe or return either. I do have an LDA so that'll make things fun, except then I'll have to find some turbo injector lines.

i took half of a TD line and half of the TDI line and slipped them into a piece of steel line just a bit bigger than the 2 lines and welded them together. i cut up my stock T3 oil drain and modified it also to work on the VNT17.

Before i ruined my clutch by doing this ...
I could do what you did in first then quickly slam it into 2nd and keep it going until i hit about 35km/hr (Actual speed, the speedo says like 50-60) when the tires grabbed and threw me forward to about 65 at which point the rpm im GUESSING is pretty high for 2nd.
