Hi I am currently swapping my ip pump out and have removed the bolt, but alas the pulley is still stuck are there any tricks to getting this off? Thanks,
Joel

there is a special puller for that! you might be able to use a steering wheel puller?

If you want you can also put the nut back on a little and tap it with a brass/copper hammer while prying between the pump and the plate it was attached to with a prybar. This method usually works well for me, don't go crazy with the hammer or prybar and watch your fuel lines.

If you are changing the timing belt you can hit the sprocket where the timing belt is with a hammer. Don't hit it too hard though. Prying with a screwdriver at the same time does help. If you are hitting the sprocket with a brass punch or hammer, don't hit the edges of the teeth on the sprocket, you will damage them

And they will rip your belt apart!

Carefully prying with a screwdriver usually works for me.

barbarians! don't beat on the pump shaft or pulley just get the proper puller...some dude from PA. was selling a nicely made unit for cheap on ebay, less than 20 bux. I bought one last summer it works great. until then I used a 2 jaw puller from sears cost less than 20 bux too.

As soon as I find a puller that fits, that's all I'd use
