« on: September 30, 2008, 07:59:12 am »
I'm working my way backwards trying to find out what size the head was on the 1Y 1.9 na motors. The bosch numbers based on the information i got from vagcat are : 028 130 115 PX and QX , 068 198 015A, 068 130 081 JX and 028 130 107 KX I just want to know if they are 9mm or 10mm

Is it a pump you have in your hands? I don't know VW part numbers, but I can give you the full layout for Bosch part numbers.

No i don't have them in my hands. I was hoping that they be cross referenced.  basically i'm trying to determine what size head would have been on a 1Y 1.9 NA.

I'm hoping it was 9mm. I just had a 10mm put on and i'm gonna drop into my transporter this friday/saturday. I just hope it gets me to the power level i need so i can then change my R&P from a 5.5 [!] to the 4.86 i got sitting in a box. Thanks everyone, at least its encouraging.

make sure you let the engine breath and dont bother with the small 16na exhaust. If the engine is at 50degs then i use an audi80 gas manifold an a2" exhaust. My old pick would wheel spin in second first was of no use with the5.5 r&p and it was flat out at an indicated 80mph a 5 speed 3h box out of a jx bus ment i could change into top at 70mph
