Just yes + modifications or no not a chance please!

Will a TDI ALH intake work with a Garett t3 turbo and 1.9 aaz head in my mk2?

1.9 aaz head with 8mm valves on a 1.6td hydro block? keeping the springs and lifters?

1.6 exhaust mani with the aaz head?

Please help me! I want to order my parts as soon as possible but i don't want to $#@^ up!

I think YES to all questions, but someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

make sure the head you're getting is the 8mm one before ordering the valves, there are 7mm aaz heads

Yeah I know! That's what's been holding me up and is what is still currently holding me up. He seems to have 8mm intake valves but no 8mm exhaust valves.

does anyone reccomend against reusing valve springs?

a tdi intake will work, but if you want to use stock plumbing you'll want an aaz intake with a 1.6td elbow on it, then u only need to grind on the back of the intake a tad to clear the turbo.  but if you're going to run an intercooler none of that really matters.

Yes i plan to run an intercooler sorry! i should have mentioned that.
Thanks for your input!!!

Really wishing Pete Rothenbacher would reply to my email now... Or put exhaust valves on his site...

tick tock waiting for exhaust valves.... do do do

Pete Rothenbacher says on his site that a replacement oil return for the turbo on 1.6td's wont work for the 1.9td (or tdi's obviously)
is that because of differences on the 1.9 block or the head? or a combination of both? ie. height of engine
I just want to check with someone who knows

Do i need new liners if im getting my block bored 1mm over stock?

bore and over sized pistons adds $500 that i don't have to the cost of my build. I can hone for less than 100$ and get new rings for my stock pistons. Can i do that? What are the thoughts of the people?
I really need to do this quickly so if you have any thoughts at all i'd love to hear them!

Edit: okay, minus the 1mm over pistons and over boring is SUCH a huge money saver so im not going to do that anymore. Just hone + new rings and hope for the best. Am i stupid for doing that? I really can't afford the big pistons and over bore ontop of the head

Sorry, what do you mean by

The AAZ is mounted by three in the center that attach to cam caps.

I don't follow the cam caps thing... you don't mean the caps that hold the cam down do you?

Stewardc's Caddy with a 1.9TD.

Notice the nerds on the top of the valve cover.  The nerds cover the stud&nut that hold the valve cover to the head.  The studs are screwed into the caps of cam towers.

Ohhhhhhh  I seeee

Uhhh. Couldnt i just fill the holes on the cam and ... not ... use the top studs? I don't have machining tools and i can't pay someone to do it.

absolutely SICK ride btw.
Just thought i'd point that out.
