• Anyone have a junk k24?
  
  I need the shaft/ exhaust wheel to be in good shape and I need the exhaust housing to be goos as well..

• yea it did! i think that one i sent to karl (saurkraut) was a decent shape K26! it was the other one in the pics. of the one i sent you!  
  
  a buddy of mine gave me a nearly new TAO4LA turbo from a PT Cruiser it has the whole manifold attached to the hot side of the turbo like the newer TDI VNTturbo's  i'm gonna cut it off and weld it on a stock N/A VW exhaust manifold! and try that out someday! well the moral to the story here is i can weld cast iron if you ever found a turbo from something else and you wanted to use it on your VW diesel motor!
  there's a option for you if you ever decide to go that route?

• I have a K24 that had the wastegate actuator removed, valve blocked in the closed position, runs a nice 24 psi wide open on a TD. :-)
  Had it on a TD Vanagon, good bearings etc.
