Need part number for 1.6td crank bolt.
« on: July 24, 2008, 06:50:26 am »
Guess it is a dealer item only.  Not sure on the washer. Does that need to be replaced as well?   I know there was a upgrade somewhere in it's history. 6 to 12 point?   If I call a dealer and request one for a 92 eco diesel will that get me the right one?

Is it the same as a 1.9 bolt? If so, then this will work.

Beats the hell out of me.  Anyone have access to the etka thingy?

Just got off the phone with the dealer.  It is the same part number as the early tdi bolt.

This spring I went to my local "dealer" (seems like that is using the term loosely) and wanted to order a crank bolt for an '86. I was told the bolt was no longer available. So I am curious.....it is just a problem with the attitude of this dealer or are these really no longer available????
The mask and the shot(s) are actually an IQ test. If you are wearing or circulating, you just failed the test. I can't feel sorry for you.

N 902 079 01 - 3,5€  I selected JR engine, 1985  says that its the hexagonal head bolt.

so.. it was an attitude problem as a lot of beetle parts are still available from the dealer.

there are only a handfull of parts that are not available for our workhorses

just found the new one, selected the 1991 RA engine, also fits JP,ME,1V,JR,MF,RA and SB engines.

N90577101   about 1,7€ (this is the 12-point bolt)

I'll have to add it to my shopping list :D

The dealer did not know it was the same as a tdi bolt.  I asked him to cross reference the number.  He came back and said it was the same part number and was avail. but had to be ordered.
