About the only way you can lower the car with stock suspension is to cut off coils from the springs. Keep in mind that it increases the effective spring rate when you do this. And it is not recommended by most people.You could also sag the springs by heating them with a torch. The chances of you getting the car balanced & handling properly with this method are far less than you melting brake lines or setting it on fire.
I wouldn't touch stock suspension at all. Just asking for trouble IMO.If you are tight on cash just get some lowering springs and run them with stock shocks/struts. Just get a cheap cupkit. Worth it in the end.
