who makes better rods for a 1.6td?

someone told me the rods in a 1.6 diesel are different than a 1.6 gas, i thought they were the same? can anyone offer some advice? thanks!!

yes they are beefier.Theres companys that sell them that will work .I dont think its VW specific,i think theyre for another application.Hey GO BUCKS by the way.Where at in OH?

i live in Tiffin,  about 30 min from Findlay, ever heard of it??

what would these rods be listed under, and who makes them?
