Any suggestions on checking valve clearances?

I have the Bentley book. Is it hard to check valve clearances? Any suggestions?

To Check them, no, just needs a feeler gauger and check the clearences in the valve order Bentley says.  Remember, when you insert the feeler guage, it has to move easy, if you jam it in there, you are actually depressing the valve.

To actually change the gap, you need special tool.  I have never done that yet since after 15,000 miles, they were all still in spec.
