Leaking Injector Body
« on: February 28, 2008, 02:32:53 pm »
Just finished a big rebuild/tweaking which I would like to share once I have the picture posting business sorted out. Just gotten back from the first drive
The only leak/gremlin that I seem to have is an injector leaking from the joint in its body. Ive already tried over tightening (75lbs) to no avail.
Any suggestions? Im loathed to take one apart and lap surfaces as I spent some time getting them all popping at the same pressure
Thanks
Guy

Having taken a moment to research the matter I think the leak is a failure of the joint between the intermediate disc and the nozzle holder body.
I shall lap them in the morning,
Guy

You got it...

Ideally the workflow is lap, then poptest and calibrate.

There was a small, hard particle of something between the disc and the nozzle holder. It left a tiny imprint in the holder. Its gone now
