Multiple solenoids on IP?
« on: February 18, 2008, 10:52:23 pm »
Hey guys, I have been searching for days on this one. What is the extra solenoid on the front of the injection pump all about? On older Injection pumps there is just a block off plate. This is on an '89.
TIA!

not sure what solenoid that is, is it down near the bottom on the side? Like opposite were the cold start lever is.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Hey, yeah, its opposite of the lever. My buddy has a cummins with the VE pump and it has the same thing. Cold start you say? so it must be on a timed relay then. its strange, it seems like my diesel starts better without it hooked up.
