• I put my injection pump out of my 86 Golf 1.6 N/A with 110,000 miles on ebay. I bought a Giles high-performance pump for my car and kept this one to reseal, but I never got around to it.

• Yes it will. It'll even work on TD cars and mk1 diesels

• I wouldn't recommend it for 1.5 engines, it would be less then optimal. If you run it on a TD engine you are basically creating an ECO diesel except the pump plungers are 1 mm larger (I think) so you'd have a bit more power

• Well the 1.6 was available in the Mk1 chassis, also the Mk2 chassis goes up to 92, which you have excluded in your ad.
  
  I might say that it will work on all VW 1,6 NA engines and will also work on the TD engine however power may be reduced. I say may be reduced because a good NA pump versus a crappy TD pump will most likely yield more power then the TD pump
