N/A diesel turbo questions...
« on: January 23, 2008, 01:09:05 pm »
okay, so i just got the last part i "think" i need to do this... ive got turbo/manifold, intake manifold, downpipe, oil pan, oil feed and return lines, pyrometer, boost gauge, lots of vacuum lines, and an intercooler that i probably wont use...
now here are the questions:
1. Do I have everything i will need?
2. Where should i hook up the oil feed lines?
3. (im a n00b) How do i hook up a boost gauge?
4. The turbo I have is watercooled.  Should i just run a hose from the heater core to the turbo and from the turbo to the head?

thanks much,
-Aaron

You shouldn't need any vacuum lines. For the boost gauge just hook it up to the nipple on the intake manifold. If you are using a TD pump just T into that line.

Do you have the intake system such as filter? what about the elbow between the turbo and the intake?

ill be using the N/A pump for now (im almost broke), but ill be buying a TD pump in the next few months... is there a way to hook the oil feed lines to the oil filter flange or something?? and the reason i have vacuum lines is for the boost controller that i might use...

There should be a flat spot on the top of your oil filter flange, you drill and tap there for the oil pressure line
