tdi engine code.....Which one?

what engine code will a 2004 jetta tdi have?

BEW Is the First Pump Dusse engine is it not? If you want an engine that uses a Bosch VE ALH is what you need, they only go to 2003.5 though.

BEW is the first PD engine, 2004-2005 on the MK4 chassis. The BRM is the MKV chassis. Both use a Continental timing belt with part number 038 109 119 P which is rated for 100,000 miles.
ALH engines of course are 1998 NB-2003 Golf/Jetta/NB, those take a Gates or Dayco TB PN: 038 109 119 M. Cars before 2003 had different belts, but all will take the "M". As long as you use all the updated rollers and belts all ALH belt changes can be every 100k.

I do have kits available that are more complete and have more OEM or OEM+ parts than anyone else I know of...Let me know if you're interested :).
